Encore Opera Group present: Opera for a Summer’s Evening in St Mark’s Church on Friday 10 July 2015 at 7.30pm
Tickets are £8, under 16s free, and will be available at the door. Proceeds to the church boiler appeal.The Encore Opera Group was formed in 1992 by singers who loved performing and listening to opera. It performs classical, romantic and popular opera from the works of the great composers including Mozart, Handel, Puccini and Verdi. For most of its 23 years it has been directed by David Chapman of Giggleswick School.
As well as opera, the programme will include highlights from operettas by Gilbert and Sullivan and from Die Fledermaus. Encore Opera brings its own special blend of passion, romance and drama to the popular operatic repertoire. We hope you will join us for what promises to be a very special musical evening.
