Pro Nobis Singers Summer Serenade

The Pro Nobis Singers are joined by the bass soloist Jonathan Millican and a string orchestra for a Summer Serenade in St Mark’s on Saturday 23 June. The main work on the programme will be Vaughan William’s lovely set of ‘Five Mystical Songs’, settings of equally lovely texts by George Herbert. The rest of the programme will feature folk song arrangements and a wide range of choral music, including a new work especially written for the choir by Adrian Self, organist of Cartmel Priory.
Our invited string orchestra will play short pieces by Hubert Parry and William Walton. The full programme is now available for viewing on the choir’s website
Please join us if you can for what should be a delightful summer evening of music. I have programmes (£10) for sale or they can be purchased from Northern Lights Stained Glass, Blackhall Yard, Kendal. A limited number of programmes will be for sale on the door.
