Opportunities in Natland to mourn the passing of Queen Elizabeth.

The Reverend Canon Angela Whittaker writes:

  • Church will remain open each day from 8am - 7.30pm in the period of mourning and there will be space to pray and messages of condolences to write if you so wish.
  • At the suggestion of Ian, the Chair of our Parish Council, and with my agreement, we are suggesting that the war memorial becomes the place to lay floral tributes if anyone would like to.  For Her Majesty, Supreme Governor of the Church of England, Head of the Armed Forces and someone who served in World War 2, this feels like a fitting place.  This does not stop anyone laying a floral tribute at the foot of the coronation tree on the Village Green if they so desire.
