On Thursday 17th November at the Village Hall St. Mark’s Church will be hosting an evening with the Kendal Big Band. It starts at 7.45 and the doors open at 7.15. The band have provided incidental music at the Jubilee and Afternoon Tea events this summer but will now have an opportunity to show off their big band repertoire in full with classical swing music made famous by Glen Miller and pieces connected with or composed by George and Ira Gershwin, Chuck Berry, Bill Haley, Rogers and Hammerstein, Irving Berlin, Andrew Lloyd Webber and many more! There may even be a chance for those so inclined to get up and dance. Bring your own drinks and snacks and look forward to a great night out.
