HMRC SCAM

Cumbria Police have received information about a current email scam that is
doing the rounds.

The email pretends to be sent by staff from HM Revenue and Customs asking
applicants to send their name, address and bank card details via a website
attachment.

Please be aware that HMRC along with banks and other government agencies
will NEVER contact anyone via email. If you receive such an email you are advised to delete it immediately.

Pass it on to your relatives and friends but not on the voice connect system.

PS Regrettably your Tax Demands by post are not usually scams!
