Parish Council

Natland Parish Council is an elected local government body, below Westmorland and Furness Council.

The Council provides a few services directly – maintaining the village green, bus shelters and some street lights – but mostly it represents the interests of Natland to the providers of other services – Planning (SLDC), Highways (CCC) and bus services among others. It also publishes the Parish Directory periodically, supports voluntary activities to look after the village environment and sets up occasional working groups to look into current concerns. It is funded by the parish element of the council tax.

The council currently should have seven councillors and employs a part-time clerk. The contact details of all councillors, the clerk and the District and Councillors for Natland are available here, and
published on the Parish Council noticeboard

The Parish Council's noticeboard is outside the Village Hall.

The Parish Council usually meets on the last Monday of the month at 7.00pm in the Village Hall and all meetings are open to the public. You can read more about our meetings, including minutes of past meetings, and see the Annual Return and Community Infrastructure Reports, by clicking here.
