From The Scrapbook

Another page from the old Natland.info website has now been converted so that it is accessible from Natland News.  This time it is the set of thirty five items “From the Scrapbook”- a trip down memory lane starting off with the 1898 Parish Magazine featuring The School.
Other items cover such diverse features as the 1953 opening of the Village Hall, the Queen’s visit in 1974 and winning the Best Kept Village competition in 1979 plus Dora Bianchi’s recollections of growing up in Natland in the forties and fifties and many more diverse topics spanning the century.
Illustrated with over fifty photographs of times gone by, it will bring back a host of memories for older Natlanders and for those younger or newer to the village, it provides an insight into Natland village life of yesteryear.
