Natland Gardens Open Day 2012

Next year there is to be a gardens open day in Natland which is to take place on Sunday 15th July 2012. It will be six years since such an event was held in the village. The day is going to be organised jointly by St Mark’s church and the village hall committee.

We are looking for volunteers to open their gardens, however large or small, to the public. If you opened your garden last time please offer to do so again; if you did not then please volunteer this time.

Not all back gardens are appropriate to be opened in this way so we would welcome those with attractive front gardens who would be happy to have folk “stand and stare” at them and perhaps be happy to chat to visitors as they admire their handy work to also offer their gardens.

The village hall committee will be organising the sale of refreshments for the benefit of hall funds and all other money raised will go to the church.

If you are willing to offer your garden or want any more information please contact or speak with Collin Mansfield at collin4mansfield@homecall.co.uk or 07740 447858 or to any of the organising committee, Audrey Ireland, Rhian Peters, David Walker or John Chandler.

Nearer the time we will be seeking volunteers to help on the day to organise fund raising activities, sell programmes, make refreshments and welcome visitors. All offers of help will be gratefully appreciated.
