Scam Correspondence Crack Down

Information sent on behalf of Cumbria County Council
Cumbria Trading Standards will be cracking down on scam correspondence during the month of February.  It is hoped that people will drop off all their dodgy letters and emails at collection points dotted around the county.  The campaign is aimed to raise public awareness about the perils of engaging with companies who are involved in the sending of mail such as fake lotteries, prize draw wins, miracle health cures to name but a few.

Local drop off points will be situated in:-

Morrisons, Queen Catherine Avenue

Asda, Burton Road

Kendal Library, Stricklandgate

Age UK Shop, Finkle Street
