Warning about Cold Callers

Cumbria Trading Standards are warning of cold callers in the Oxenholme Road area of Kendal.  The callers are distributing leaflets and offering to do work on driveways.  Cumbria Trading Standards advice to residents is to always obtain local quotes before ever considering accepting work from any cold callers of this type, even if offers are made by the cold callers on the day.  Alternatively ignore the cold callers and throw the leaflet in the bin.  Please remember if you do sign a contract you have seven days "cooling off" period in which to cancel if you so wish.

If you have any information on cold callers or wish to report an incident please contact Trading Standards via the Citizens Advice Consumer Helpline on 08454 04 05 06 or the Police on 101.
