President Marion Thornton welcomed members to the Christmas meeting of Natland and Oxenholme W.I. Several members reported on County events they had recently enjoyed including the Pantomime, Carol Service, an open day with lunch at the Federation Office, and one member had attended a Quilling Course at Denman College.
Readings of Christmas poems and stories were enjoyed followed by mince pies and mulled wine hosted by the committee.
The most attractively wrapped parcel competition was won by Joan Airey, the parcels will be delivered to the Riverside Residential Home, Kendal.
Next meeting is 16th January. When the speaker will be Susan Oliver, 'My life as a Registrar.' Visitors always welcome.
