Email Scams

Cumbria Trading Standards are warning residents of a new email scam.  It purports to be from Europcar and claims that there is an outstanding invoice that has not been paid.  The advice is not to open the email but to delete it immediately as it is linked to the Trojan Horse malware.

The consumer had never hired a car from them and Europcar confirmed that it is a scam, when he contacted them.  Further details can be found at https://tinurl.com/abscuny
