Grants available

Dear Resident,

Cumbria County Council makes grants available in your area through Neighbourhood Forums and there is still funding available in your area.
Grants are available for voluntary, not for profit and community groups for community based projects which will benefit the local area.
Who can apply for a grant?
Criteria can vary from area to area, but on the whole groups must be non-profit making, locally based, doing their own fund-raising and the project must show community benefit.
Grants have been awarded to a wide range of community and voluntary organisations including  playgroups, resident's action groups, sports groups, youth clubs, environmental groups, community centers and local charities.  
Grants are also available for projects, events and equipment, for example  setting up costs, educational toys, newsletters, craft equipment, food co-ops and emergency information.
