At the December meeting President Marion Thornton and members of Natland and Oxenholme W.I. congratulated fellow member Joyce Woodhouse on her 90th Birthday, presenting her with a card and flowers.
A craft evening was prepared and presented by skilled members, and involved everyone in learning how to make a variety of small Christmas themed decorations and gifts.
The prize for the best wrapped Christmas parcel was won by Kirsten Cannon, second Lynne Pritchard. The parcels will be delivered to the residents of Riverside Home, Kendal.
Mulled wine, mincepies and birthday cake were served by committee members.
