W.I. Report for February

Natland and Oxenholme W.I. President Marion Thornton welcomed members to the February meeting, and drew their attention to the many forthcoming activities, craft courses and events on offer in the County Federation News letter.  She then introduced guest speaker Geoff Wood, a retired Civil Engineer, who gave a fascinating and amusing account of his working career involved in waste water disposal, and the social history and construction of the sewerage systems from the middle ages to the present day.
Our appreciation and thanks were expressed by Doris Aldworth.
A collection of rodents were entered in the competition, the winner was owned

At our next meeting held in the village hall Natland, on 19th March at 7.30pm.
