Residents will be concerned to see Open Reach digging a trench across the Green. Apparently they are replacing the copper cable which has failed and left residents without telephone connection. The work has been authorised by Westmorland and Furness Council.
The work is due to be completed by Wednesday 16 September, by when the trench will be filled and seeded.
The Parish Council apologises that no warning was given unfortunately they were not consulted by Westmorland Furness Council.
