Cumbria Trading Standards
are warning residents in Kendal about doorstep callers in the area offering to
provide roof repairs.
The callers do not provide statutory cancellation notices and although the initial price quoted may be low, the costs can rapidly become excessive and may be accompanied by aggressive or intimidating behaviour.
Trading Standards Advice is to always say ‘NO’ to any cold callers.
