Kerbs are dropping on Burton Road

This is the problem currently
After pressure from our Parish Council and the Manager of Castlesteads View, it is good to hear that the new Highways Delivery section of Westmorland and Furness Council have agreed to drop the kerb in two places near Castlesteads View, making crossing the A65 easier. The work is due to start quite soon.

Cameo

Cameo, or Come and Meet Each Other, is handy way of spending a pleasant Sunday afternoon while getting to know your neighbours. This month it will be book based, and we are asked to bring along and/or discuss a favourite book, fiction or non/fiction.  Or if you prefer, just come and listen.

It’s at 3pm this Sunday, 20th, followed by tea and cake, in St. Mark’s Church.
