At a well attended October meeting of Natland and Oxenholme W.I., President Marion Thornton
welcomed all and introduced three new members to our Institute.
Diana Dickinson reported that several members had enjoyed their visit to the Theatre at Keswick to see a production of 'Rookery Nook'.
As the result of a ballot, Kirsten Cannon will be our delegate, representing us at the National
A.G.M. in London in June 2015.
The meeting welcomed guest speaker Brenda Austin who brought samples of her vast collection of tins, each one had a fascinating story and associations with our country's history, which brought back many memories. She was thanked on our behalf by Joan Airey. The competition for an empty tin was won by Audrey Casson, second Joyce Ormrod.
The next meeting, the A.G.M. and Jacobs Join Supper, will be held on Wednesday, 19th November, at 7.30pm, in the Village Hall, Natland. Margaret Lancaster, secretary.
