New website for St. Mark’s Church

A website has just been launched with 19 sections of information about everything to do with the Church. It will replace the old page of this blog. Just click on this link or use the link to the new page on the tab above.

In the meantime St.Mark’s Church is establishing new links with  churches in the area as it becomes part of a Mission Community. This includes the churches of Old and New Hutton, Crosscrake, the United Reformed Church, the Salvation Army and Kendal Parish Church. To celebrate these links a special service is going to be held on Sunday at Kendal Parish Church at 10.30am, replacing the 10am service which is normally held here. There will be a service at 8am - Holy Communion, and a more informal service at 7pm here in Natland however.

After four dry months, the reservoirs were very low. The Water Authority were not worried as they knew we would have some wet weather and it came in October !
Apart from December 2015 (554mm) it was one of the three wettest months I have recorded. The empty reservoirs helped to prevent major flooding but now they are full so the next rain event could be a problem.
