In conjunction with sealing of the postbox at the ex-PO, Royal Mail promised a replacement postbox in the centre of the village. To the inconvenience of villagers this has still not happened. The nearest alternatives are:
- A65 at Punchbowl, Barrows Green (by bus shelter) - a Priority postbox, last collection 4.15pmM-F, 12noon Saturday. (1 mile from centre of Natland)
- Bleaswood Road, Oxenholme - a Priority postbox, last collection 4.30pm M-F, 11.30am Saturday (1 mile)
- A65 at Fell Close, Oxenholme - NOT a Priority postbox, last collection 9am M-F, 7am Saturday(0.7 miles)
